Disability Support
It can be hard to find the right support worker for you or your young person’s needs. There is an overwhelming number of supports and services out there. It can be hard to decipher which is best for you.
Each client will have a tailored service that fits exactly to their goals and their needs. As their goals and needs change, so will the service. Here at Life Skills Tutoring, we concentrate on various skills including (but not necessarily limited to):
- Executive Functioning Skills
- Work Readiness Skills
- Study Support
- Budgeting and Money Skills
- Transport and Travel Training Skills
- Social and Communication Skills
These skills can be supported in many ways through both the literary and practical settings. Our aim is to learn though by multiple way of modelling, practically doing tasks and by learning from our peers. We believe that a good combination of these will create the solid foundational skills needed for everyday life.
If you or your child is a young adult or soon to be school leaver, studying at TAFE or a college may be on the cards. If so, we can help navigate this route and make sure you get all supports needed to get them through their chosen course.
Support can be given in an independent 1:1 setting with a completely tailored and structured session plan, or it can be done in small group settings, depending on availability of both clients and staff.
We work according to the current NDIS Price Guide when charging in regards to our disability support services. If you do not have a current NDIS plan, but would like to enquire about potential services, please click here.
