WHO ARE WE?
Life Skills Tutoring was born from having the skills and knowledge from the many years of working towards a goal of being able to work full time with those with additional needs.
Working in the industry, I knew I could bring more to the table for the select group of young adults I was working with at the time. I saw an opportunity to create an opening in the market to help those who sit with higher capacity and are looking for extended learnings in which they couldn't find elsewhere.
With the push from two families back in the midst of 2021, they gave me the opportunity to do what I wanted to achieve. They believed in my vision and supported me in getting up and running.
We create individualised support for young adults who sit with Autism (Levels 1 & 2), mild intellectual disabilities and other mild cognitive impairments and disorders. These young people want to go to TAFE, university, get their license, and look for suitable employment so they can gain confidence in society. Our aim is to help them achieve the level of independence that they want so they can live a bright and fulfilling life.
We hold our core Values very close to us in both our professional and personal lives.
QUALITY AND HONESTY
We pride ourselves in the quality and honesty of our service we provide to each client and their family.
FLEXIBILITY AND FREEDOM
We aim to create a unique and individual service that is tailored to your specific needs. This brings the choice and control directly into your hands.
RESILIENCE AND GROWTH
We concentrate on building those foundational skills through everything we do. This brings resilience and growth to all areas of your life and learning, allowing you to shine independently.
ACCEPTANCE
Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. Learning to acknowledge and accept ourselves for who we are, opens ourselves up to new skills, knowledge and adventures.
